My name is Tom Atherton; I’m 21 years old and currently work as a programmer. I’m an amateur pool/snooker player and love going to gigs, of any kind. Over the last 3 years I have been to a lot of gigs seeing the likes of the Kooks, the Who, Eminem, Ed Sheeran, The Strokes and even the Petshop boys. I’ve wanted to create a blog for a number of years but could never find something I was passionate enough about to dedicate my time to, until I began to watch live music. Through this blog I hope to discover many more talented Indie Rock bands. .
WHAT IS MY BLOG?
This blog is going to focus around the current day music industry here in Britain. For the last 3 years I have attended many gigs/festivals and concerts with a range of music varying between old school Hip hop and Indie Rock etc. Through this simple but interesting blog I am going to review the gigs I attend and also review albums of today whilst also looking back on some past classics. The reason mainly behind the idea of blogging about the gigs I attend is because I don’t really have a specific genre I like, I like all genres and try to go to as many different gigs as possible. The idea of that being if one week you don’t like the band I’m blogging about then next week will be a completely different one that may spark your interest.
