Another day, another blog; welcome back guys, and welcome to another blog, today I will be reviewing some unreleased tunes from a band titled 'Artemys.' The band features two members, behind the guitar and vocals we have J Reavey and on drums, we have Joe Budby. The band sees themselves as hard rock and hale from Bradford, like the band 'Rain in Death Valley' who I've reviewed in the past. J Reavey is a former member of the relatively successful; Bradford based band Railroads and over time has released a lot of individual music before forming Artemys. He evidently has a lot of musical talent judging from his Instagram which is littered with single releases and videos of his performances. The two evidently have their respected expertise and the combination is proving well, having listened to their music myself I was really impressed. So I was given the honour of hearing their soon to be released single 'Tragedy in a Cinema' and it blew me away. The talent behind the guitar is ridiculous, and the vocals were really good. The song is just a constant clash of a hard rock sound, not usually my cup of tea personally but I enjoyed this very much. The drums work really well to give the song a structured sound throughout; they've got a very Royal Blood feeling about them. The guitarist produces a very strong sound throughout however I did feel the song was missing something, but hey I'm no expert. The chorus was a bit of an odd one for me, it built up and I had an idea of where I thought it was gonna go but it didn't go there, it stayed in the same range as the verse leading up to it did. But none the less I enjoyed the song, it was a decent effort from two fairly talented musicians. Apologies for the shortness of the blog but there's only so much you can write about one song if you get me. Please go and check out J Reavy music and the band I will leave their social media links below for you guys. Please make sure to give this post a share and a comment as I would really appreciate it. Until next time guys, Peace.
